When I stepped into the TestShoots studio on December 7 2020, I felt a little spark of excitement mixed with something close to nervousness. I had never posed for a session like this before, and even though my work as a masseuse keeps me close to people, this felt different. Here, the attention was entirely on me, my body, my reactions. The room was bright, the air was cool, and I could feel my heartbeat settling into a slow, steady rhythm as I looked around the studio.

The first photos were simple ones in my jeans and a sweater with my short violet hair brushing my shoulders and my dark eyes trying their best not to look too timid. The photographer spoke gently, and after a moment, I felt myself loosen. I sat on the chair, crossed my legs laughed a little at how awkward my smile felt. When I changed into my underwear, the air shifted. My tattoos began to stand out under the soft light, and it felt like parts of my story were being read silently through my skin. By the time I undressed completely, something inside me clicked. The shyness fell away, and I started to enjoy the way my body moved in front of the camera.

That first nude casting changed me more than I expected. It taught me that confidence does not always arrive with certainty. Sometimes it grows in the middle of vulnerability.
